This is a small foray into the world of Digital Versatile Disc as it has been applied to video. We list here a small selection of titles that represent in-stock lines and/or titles that match the personal tastes of the proprieter.

The range of titles available in the Australian marketplace now numbers thousands. Most major new release titles are now being released on DVD either at the same time as the VHS release, and sometimes several months prior to release on tape.

While we don't have access to quite as large a range of DVD video titles as larger outlets we are still able to source thousands of titles so feel free to email sales@cdrom-cellar.com and ask us for pricing and availability of any title you may be interested in.

Unless otherwise specified all titles are for Australia, using the PAL television system, and specified as DVD region 4, as indicated on DVD packaging by the symbols or .

 


The DVD Players.

We're sorry to advise that at present we don't have any DVD players we're prepared to offer. Our selection criteria in the past have been that the players be inexpensive, highly functional, and VCR and video projector friendly.

In the past we have offered selected DVD players in the ranges from Hiteker (Apex in North America), the Conia M-100, and the original version of the Maganvox MDVD-100. In all cases the players we have chosen to offer have been capable of playing DVDs from all regions (despite being marketed and marked as Region 4 players). Where possible we have endeavoured to keep on offer VCR friendly players, which permit hookup to/through video tape recorders for pass-through and recording; an increasingly rare facility.

There are now so many titles on the Australian market that we really can't do justice to the range withing the context of static web pages (and we've pretty much given up trying to).
